Towards a more inclusive society to raise awareness of basic skills gaps

In the Netherlands, 2.5 million people struggle daily with reading, writing, math, and digital skills, also called basic skills. Eindhoven Engine prepares OpenCall 2020

Last year, the Eindhoven Engine had its first open call for innovation projects, a follow-up to the PilotCall 2018 (through which the Eindhoven Engine was founded). OpenCall 2019 resulted in four new innovation projects within the Eindhoven Engine.

Recently, we have begun to prepare for OpenCall 2020, which is expected in the first half of this year. More specifically, the plan is to open the call before March with a submission deadline of early June, allowing the selected projects to start in July. In this new OpenCall 2020, we want to address the lessons learned from the first OpenCall and are considering ways to allow for better SME participation in the Engine’s innovation projects. More details to follow later. In the meantime keep updated via Twitter and/or LinkedIn.
