Media: Innovation accelerator Eindhoven Engine enters new phase

As a society, we face numerous challenges. At Eindhoven Engine, a collaborative program between companies, knowledge institutions, social organizations and citizens in the Brainport region, work has been going on for years on innovations to address these problems. Now the program is breaking new ground.

Enhancing UI/UX learning paths

More than 40,000 individuals aged 18-40 in the Eindhoven region have limited basic skills. This means they struggle with reading, writing, numeracy and/or digital skills, hindering their full participation in society. This includes tasks like grocery shopping and understanding letters from the municipality.

Eindhoven Engine has recently partnered with Stichting Expertisecentrum Oefenen.nl. Oefenen.nl is an online platform designed to help (young) adults enhance their basic skills, offering a variety of exercises in language, numeracy, and digital skills. Users can practice independently at their own level and pace, using materials relevant to their daily lives and work.

At Eindhoven Engine, a team of students and experts is tackling this challenge by exploring various domains such as healthcare, work, finance, education, digital, and family. This team collaborates with an ecosystem that shares this mission, aiming to foster an inclusive society >> More about inclusive society at Eindhoven Engine.
